The BS
The BS [Background Story] to this BS [Blog Site]
Welcome to my blog site! I am ecstatic that you have found your way to this page.
The Estelle Blog covers a variety of topics and interest that most closely align to things that I am passionate about.
Currently I cover three critical topic areas, love and healing, shopping, and social justice. It makes perfect sense, because those are the three things I won’t shut up about– quality characteristics of mine if you will. I love deeply, I’m always shopping, and I’ve committed my life work to social justice.
This is purely my hobby blog site, and I am just happy to share some of the things that bring me joy.
Dealing with BS Blog
My current blog contains excerpts from a book I am in the process of publishing titled “Dealing with BS [Being Single]” This book is a funny, vulnerable, honest and scientifically supported reflection of the experience of being single. Goodness knows there is a diversity of ways in which individuals experience seeking romantic love. By no means do I attempt to generalize the complexity of it. The book instead is a support space, for all folks who experience being single [excrutiating heartbreak, critical self-awareness, emotional vulnerability, dating trauma, healthy love habits, seeking support, and much more]. It is also an excellent reflection opportunity for folks hoping to support friends, family members, loved ones, or colleagues [whomever] who value you and confide in you their vulnerable moments of experiencing being single. It is important to honor that space!
Calling In Blog
The Calling In Blog is my social justice blog. Essentially, as a social justice educator, and anti-oppression researcher, I am often asked questions about how to respond to “difficult” topics. It is a space of embracing discomfort and addressing people seeking to increase their awareness about critical social issues.
I discuss how to respond, and call people in to meaningful conversations.
The Dr. Stew Review
A blog committed to showing you BS… a bunch of stuff you didn’t know you needed. I shop quite a bit, and so why not honestly review the things I buy to help you make informed decisions. Maybe you are a little bored and looking for something cool to buy, more than likely I’ve got something for you to consider. Check it out, it is a lot of fun!
